Permits
The City of Vilonia Code Enforcement Department is responsible for the enforcement of all city ordinances pertaining to building modification and property maintenance, including performing inspections to ensure all building codes are being met. It is our goal to make the City of Vilonia clean and safe from any environmental matters that may cause damage to person or property.
The following forms must be completed for Building Permits and Inspections. To obtain more information, view the Information Regarding Building Permits and Inspections.
COSTS FOR BUILDING PERMIT:
Residential Building Permit Fees are as follows:
New Residence - $300.00
Addition (garage, room addition, carport, etc.) - $100.00
Manufactured Home - $200.00
Commercial/Industrial Permit Fees are as follows:
Building Permit - $500.00 plus $0.50 per $1,000 construction cost. ($1,000.00 cap)
Site Plan Review - $100.00 plus $.02 per square foot of building space.
A COPY OF ALL ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, AND HVAC LICENSES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION TO BE KEPT ON FILE AT VILONIA CITY HALL.
Payments for permits must be made at the time the application is submitted. Preferred payment is by check. No work will be performed until permits have been issued.
COSTS FOR SIGN PERMIT:
Sign Permit - $25.00
Permits are required for all signs that are not categorized in Section 6.7.2 of the Sign Regulations portion of the Zoning Ordinance.
Permits can be picked up and turned in at the City Clerk's Office in the City Hall, located at 18 Bise Drive.
